Further our Mission

More about what we do

This Foundation was born out of a response to the tragedy of Hurricane Ian.  After months of servicing the residents of Lee County with their immediate relief needs, we are expanding into our initial vision...

Our children

We are on a mission to provide children the skills no longer provided through the public school system.

We have many initiatives including: basic literacy, financial literacy, mental health, nutrition and food preparation, social and emotional coping skills, job preparation and interviewing skills and many more.

Our goal is to help our children succeed in being prosperous members of society.

We will do so by taking a holistic point-of-view. Nourishing their minds, bodies and souls. Providing key life skills and bridging the gap left by our school system.

"Rosie and the Hurricane"

Our friends created a wonderful book about Hurricane preparedness from a child's perspective.  Allowing your child to be a part of the preparatory process,  helps them feel as though they can keep their families safe and reduces their anxiety.

Authors:  Olga Zabala, Fernanda Ferrell-Zabala and Erin Sells; along with Illustrator,  David Acevedo have created a valuable resource packaged within  an accessible children's book.  The message is clear and concise, the illustrations sweet and playful.  A great way to approach a scary subject in a way that will empower your children.
